   guns kill people. I dont know why SA continues to ignore this. I think gun ownershp rights are part of what is known as the 'hypocrisies of democracy' Just look at countries with strict gun control such as the UK and Japan. They have very low levels of gun crime

   South African -- Eh, I'm not certain that bumper sticker sloganeering is the way to make an argument. Yes, guns kill people, as, I suppose, do cricket bats and cars and knives when used to do so. While I'm sympathetic to your broader point, I also am sympathetic to, for example, the reasons why the United States firmly placed the right to gun ownership in the second amendment. I support gun control, but not the abolition of guns. After all, if guns are outlawed, etc. etc. Thanks for reading and weighing in. dc
