Why Murdoch’s Media Scandal Matters

For those who have been following the News Corp. scandal over the last few weeks, they have seen it get increasingly complicated. For those who haven’t been following it, they should.

News Corp. controls a wide range of media-related ventures, from television to publishing to newspapers. These are entities that generally have a major influence on the way people think.

The notoriously seedy nature of the British tabloid culture aside, anyone who lives anywhere within News Corp.’s reach should be taking note of this developing story. Word is that at least one lawmaker in the US has already called for an investigation into News Corp.’s US activities and whether any Americans were impacted.

I am writing a thesis with the hope that it will be applied to better the world we live in. This thesis is on Public Trust in the Media, WikiLeaks, and the Government and need to know what your opinions are. The online survey is anonymous, multiple choice and will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Please follow the link: http://www.kwiksurveys.com/?s=ILLLML_9669e09d. Would be great if you would encourage others to do the survey also.
