Happy Passover, Sort Of

Happy Passover to all our readers celebrating the holiday.

However, the inability to eat bread represents the least of the worries on many Israelis’ minds. With the recession still devastating the global economy, many local businesses delayed layoffs until after the end of the holiday, as is the custom in Israel as to avoid ruining the occasion for families across the country. Therefore, within two weeks, the unemployment figures in Israel may skyrocket- stay tuned.

Meanwhile, the economy remains the top priority for  Israelis, according to a recent poll. The population urges the new government to solve the economic problems, followed by addressing the Iranian nuclear program, and lastly the peace process.
