This report about the plight of minorities in Pakistan paints a very disturbing picture about the overall situation in the country. Actually, no Asian country can take pride in this area because for some reason, minorities always live in fear and it is easy to terrorize frightened people. However, this is no excuse as for Pakistan is concerned. The country is struggling on so many fronts and at this critical juncture, I don’t believe anyone is going pay attention to the issue of minorities. Today, Pakistan’s future is at stake and there are other pressing issues for the government to attend to. Nonetheless, it would be nice if Pakistan’s Prime Minister, President and other elected officials come out strongly in favor of helping and protecting the religious minorities.
