Regardless of you’re political views on Israel, the settlers, the two-state solution, and any other highly politicized issue, there rarely is there such a blatant example of the difference in values and tactics between Israel and its enemies. The IDF has been accused of certain questionable tactics (ie. Goldstone report) but the military still attempts to mitigate unwarranted loss of life and even provided warnings of pending strikes to civilians during Operation Cast Lead.
Conversely, a Hamas-affiliated Web site is offering $500 for the murder of an Israeli soldier. The Web site (translated poorly from Arabic, maybe with Google translate) clearly attempts to attract young radicals, titling itself “Kids Killer University 4 You” and urging murderers of soldiers to provide details on the slaughter. The site even provides a “how to” section to aid potential terrorists more effectively orchestrate their attack.
There is no equivalence here. Urging children to commit murder by paying them is by no means equivalent or comparable to a defensive organization attempting to mitigate a loss of life. Period.
Settlers or the IDF are by no means on par with the bloodthirsty creators of this Web site.
