A Joint Nuclear Program?

Recently the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) proposed that GCC countries needed to be in direct discussion with Iran and Iraq to help develop a safe, secure and advanced nuclear energy program in the Gulf.  The program would be a win-win situation for both the Gulf countries and Iran as this venture would provide Iran with a face-saving end to its long-standing deadlock with the Western world and would provide the GCC with the peace of mind regarding Iranian nuclear program and the threat of war against Iran.  But the question remains: Can Iran be trusted in this joint venture? Al Jazeera provides an interesting in depth discussion on how feasible this idea is:
