WeFeedback – a new social network from WFP

A newly launched initiative by the World Food Programme (WFP), called WeFeedback, uses a social media platform to make it easier to feed hungry children around the globe and share your efforts with others.

How does it work?  WeFeedback invites the public to join a social network to fight hunger using only a few easy steps.

  1. Visitors use the site’s Feedback Calculator to enter their favorite food and its estimated cost.  The calculator shows how many children could be fed by that purchase.
  2. Donate the cost of your favorite food through the site’s donation tool, which allows WFP to reach children in need.
  3. Create a page on the WeFeedback network, where you can display how many children you have fed and invite others to join the campaign.

The site provides real-time updates about the overall number of children fed through the campaign, “Top Feedback” (foods entered into the calculator), “Top Feedback Networks” (the leader board for donors) and more.

Watch more videos about children who benefit through this initiative who live in Honduras, Liberia, Kenya, Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Bangladesh, Haiti and the Philippines.
