Today there’s a story at GreenBiz.com on Cargill’s plans to optimize their marine shipping by bringing kites for power on board. These can reduce power use by as much as 50%. Don’t think shippers are going to be all over that? The company working with Cargill on outfitting their ships is based in Hamburg – SkySails. “Turn Wind Into Profit” is their motto. Wouldn’t you?
