The United States Army War College in Carlisle Pennsylvania serves a unique mission in the military— to convert senior field commanders, usually colonels, into strategic thinkers and future leaders of the Army. It has been performing this function for over 100 years. In today’s Great Decisions podcast, Sarwar Kashmeri speaks with with Major General William Rapp about the challenges the AWC faces in a time of shrinking budgets, a population increasingly averse to overseas deployments and long wars without an ending.
Sarwar Kashmeri is a Fellow of the Foreign Policy Association, and an Adjunct professor at Norwich University
