Jaron van der Sloot, he of Natalie Holloway infamy, is the prime suspect in the murder of 21-year-old Stephany Flores in Lima, Peru. Yesterday Peruvian Criminal Police Chief Gen. César Guardia told reporters that they’ve launched an international manhunt for van der Sloot, now 22, in the Sunday slaying of 21-year-old Stephany Flores. On Sunday he and Flores were seen gambling together in the Miraflores district. Workers then witnessed the two checking into a hotel, and four hours later van der Sloot was seen leaving, and the Peruvian police say he fled to Chile. Interpol has issued a warrant for his arrest. According to the Peruvian paper El Commercio, Flores’ body was found stabbed and wrapped in a blanket in a hotel room under van der Sloot’s name. The killing occurred exactly five years after the disappearance of Holloway in Aruba.
