Sabotaging The Country From Within

After meeting with former President Emile Lahoud, Wiam Wahhab said Speaker Nabih Berri and Hezbollah would never betray Aoun, their opposition ally, in the subject of government.A sovereign ministry is the right of Michel Aoun, and without this ministry there is no sovereign government. The opposition is preparing for another stage another and another step, and is ready to deal a disciplinary blow to anyone who tries to topple the Doha agreement, he stated.

I am not discussing the rights Michel Aoun has or not. The point is that the country needs a government to do its job. I know what Aoun excuse is. He claims to be the only one capable to fight generalized corruption. Please! If you work for the people, you can do it from whatever position, right?

Of course, neither Amal nor Hizballah will go against him. Why should they?! Aoun served them as a cover before, and if he chooses to keep the country on the verge of precipice, they’re OK with that.  With a government in place, the talks over the Shebaa farms, International Tribunal, electoral law, and the UN resolutions 1559, 1701 would have to continue. Now, who would want that to happen?!

Hizballah announced yesterday that even if the problem of the Shebaa farms will be solved, the party, is not going to disarm. What a surprise!

Any Zionist withdrawal from the Shebaa Farms would be a big achievement for the resistance for this would be the result of its role and its pressure, Fadlallah said.

Those who think that putting the Shebaa Farms under international supervision could put pressure on the resistance…delude themselves, he added.
