I clearly remember that overly fawning interview with the ladies from The View when this critical campaign issue was addressed. The fact was used as supporting evidence to promote Obama's star-like charisma and appeal pitted against rival John McCain's grandfatherly out-of-touchness.

Disappointingly, it turns out Palin is not related to Jennifer “Rachel” Aniston. Instead, according to an Ancestry.com finding, Palin can brag about being a ninth cousin once removed to the Democratic Party's own ubber hero Franklin Delano Roosevelt. What? Could there be something commendable about her after all?
