Palin Shares FDR's Genes

Remember that study linking Barack Obama and actor Brad Pitt as distant cousins? By the same token, Pitt's partner Angelina Jolie was related to Hillary Clinton. I clearly remember that overly fawning interview with the ladies from The View when this critical campaign issue was addressed. The fact was used as supporting evidence to promote Obama's star-like charisma and appeal pitted against rival John McCain's grandfatherly out-of-touchness.

In his Guardian blog, Oliver Burkeman discusses the genes of  American media's favorite female piÑata. Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin, that is.  Disappointingly, it turns out Palin is not related to Jennifer “Rachel” Aniston. Instead, according to an Ancestry.com finding, Palin can brag about being a ninth cousin once removed to the Democratic Party's own ubber hero Franklin Delano Roosevelt. What? Could there be something commendable about her after all?
