An interview with Mohammad Fneish [Hizballah] explaining that May events were a solution.
“… Hizbollah acted when the other side tried to undermine the resistance. It had nothing to do with the balance of power in terms of the internal political situation. They threatened the resistance.
We weren't the only ones to be using weapons, the other side also had weapons and our political demands did not change although the situation on the ground had changed. We wanted a national unity president and an electoral law. The weapons did not lead us to put new demands or try to really take over.
Suppose May had not happened. Would we have had a president by now? Would we have had a solution? This was the solution.”
