Obama and Biden Talk with Al Gore

An important meeting took place yesterday in which a further display of concern and seriousness about climate change was exhibited by the President-Elect.  I referenced his unequivocal post-election statements on energy and climate change here and how there is a critical positive synergy building between the incoming administration and the leaders on energy and the environment in the next Congress at this recent blog post.

After speaking with Gore, Obama said "All three of us are in agreement that the time for delay is over.  The time for denial is over."  Hear, hear.  See this from Climate Progress.  See also this short video clip from AP from after the meeting.

I'm looking forward to knowing who the President-Elect will bring on board at DOE and at EPA.  It will also be critical to have someone on point at the State Department. Not incidentally, will Al Gore have a formal role, perhaps with ambassadorial status?
