The Sick Waters of Voronezh

Inspired by the moral profligacy of Dilbert, I’d like to shamelessly plug my recently published article in the New York Moon, the journal of ideas and flaneurism, about the history of a Russian reservoir.

It is surely set to become the Doctor Zhivago of hallucinatory post-communist Russian reservoir narratives.

Vadim Nikitin was born in Murmansk, Russia and grew up there and in Britain. He graduated from Harvard University with a thesis on American democracy promotion in Russia. Vadim's articles about Russia have appeared in The Nation, Dissent Magazine, and The Moscow Times. He is currently researching a comparative study of post-Soviet and post-Apartheid nostalgia.
