And… They Meet

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and President Barack Obama commenced today their long-anticipated meeting with analysts and the media still speculating on whether or not the two leaders will clash. Obama will likely press Netanyahu on affirming the need for a two state solution while Netanyahu will attempt to keep the discussion focused on limiting the threat of Iran obtaining a nuclear device. Obama could chastise Netanyahu for recent reports indicating additional settlements growth, acts largely opposed by the United States. Stay tuned for reports stating the actual content of the meeting and whether Netanyahu or Obama made any promises to their counterpart- either support for a Palestinian state or considerations for a military strike on Iran, potentially going through Iraqi airspace.
