Facebook Widget to Boost Israeli PR

The latest line in pro-Israel new media is a Facebook widget that changes an individuals Facebook status to read as a fun fact about the Jewish State. A group of students from Hebrew University in Jerusalem created the application and already 3,000 people use the widget on their Facebook accounts. Some fun facts include:

  • the number of Israeli vineyards tops 200 include the production of whites, reds, and sparkling labels;
  • Israel is the 2nd largest per capita publisher of books.

Previously, the Israeli government launched both a blog and a youtube video channel to advance the government’s agenda.
