Report: Prisoner Swap Underway

Media reports indicate a prisoner swap between Israel and Hamas is currently underway, with abducted IDF soldier Gilad Shalit already in Egypt awaiting transfer to Israel.

Meanwhile, Palestinian prisoners held in Israel were told to gather their belongs in anticipation of a swap. However, it is unclear if Fatah leader Marwan Barghouti will be included in the exchange.

One report indicates Hamas is planning a wave of suicide bombings against Israel to follow the swap. Israel officials found 15-kilo explosives at a border crossing along with vest making material and detonators.

The completion of a deal for a swap, and the subsequent return of Shalit to Israel, is huge news. Stay tuned.
