Finally the Middle East is engaging in peaceful warfare. Israel and Lebanon have been fighting over who can create the best and largest dish of Hummus. Israel is currently edging ahead with a sattelite dish of over 4 tons of freshly made Hummus. The Hummus was made by an Arab-Israeli restaurant owner, Ibrahim, in the village of Abu Ghosh, which in fact does have the best Hummus in the Middle East (I can personally attest to the veracity of this statement), in Ibrahim’s own words:
If there is hope for the Middle East it lies in both the Arab and Jewish obsession with Hummus. Hamas members surely eat Hummus with the same gusto as machine- gun armed settlers in the village of Bat- Ain. Maybe one day they will shake hands in peace over a dish of Hummus.
