What’s the old cliche? Victory has a thousand parents and defeat has none? Well, Bafana Bafana is on something of a roll. They have not lost a match in ten outings. Much of their success has been in comfortable home environs, but of course that’s not really a problem inasmuch as the World Cup is at home. I maintain that Mexico is in trouble on June 11. They are about to run into a vuvulela-blowing mass of humanity. El Tri always seems to make the knockout round, at which point they disappoint their passionate fans. I suspect the Mexican disappointment will come early in 2010.
