Our Disappearing Wars: 10 Not Enough?

Update: The New York Times paper addition this morning featured a large picture of two American servicemen in Afghanistan with a caption detailing the loss of 10 NATO troops yesterday. This was positive to see, though the story of the deadly incidents was not on the front page.

Continuing our Disappearing Wars thread: Today 10 NATO soldiers, including 7 American servicemen, were killed in Afghanistan. I view this as a serious news story that deserves a fair amount of attention. This is what I found on the New York Times website all day today:

Apparently, this is a real bottom story, one that does not even deserve a medium sized headline with a short preview. Among the stories which received higher billing were: A President Obama speech to high school graduates featuring the line ‘make no excuses’, a story on ancient Chinese art, Indian road fatalities, etc.
