Morocco is undertaking a bold step and a plan to fight corruption. The plan calls for all rich government officials to unveil their assets. And for the government to protect and provide for the workers of the newly established commission. The plan will also include new courses in the country’s schools on the fight against corruption. It will also offer a chance for the public to report abuses and corrupt officials to the right authorities. Private sector minister announced on Friday 22nd, 2010 that “corruption costs approximately 2 % of the national GDP” the endeavor is set to start early next year. The Moroccan government must start with restructuring the judicial branch, which is the back bone for justice and the rule of law. this announcement is a step in the right direction.
