Food aid for Japan, Part II

In addition to the previous post about ways that you can contribute to Japan’s relief, here are some other initiatives of note:

The World Food Programme (WFP) is collecting funds to “provide specialized logistics support in the delivery of water, tents, and blankets to families who need them the most.”

The National Hockey League (NHL) is encouraging its fans to donate to Japanese disaster relief through the American Red Cross.

Linkin Park singer Mike Shinoda has designed t-shirts which are for sale through the band’s website, “proceeds from these t-shirts will be donated to Music for Relief to help survivors of the 8.9 magnitude earthquake in Japan and subsequent tsunami.”

Partial proceeds from the sale of the DVD for the film “Hereafter” will be donated by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment to the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Graphic designer Joshua Smith created an “Army for Japan” t-shirt to raise money for the Salvation Army’s efforts in Japan
